[more]Leading both upperclassmen facilitators and first-year participants helped Rachel Inman '19 find her voice in a professional setting on campus and master the art of the elevator pitch for a program she has dedicated a lot of her undergraduate time to. With this role, Rachel spent more time in Rocky’s space apart from taking public policy classes and became more engaged with the center.
[more]What first attracted Billy to the Rockefeller Center was his desire to find a place where he could be challenged by learning experiences both inside and outside of the classroom. Interested in Public Policy studies from the start, Billy felt a connection to the Center as early as his first-year winter, when he took PBPL 5: Introduction to Public Policy with Professor Shaiko.
[more]I would encourage any first-year student to step out their comfort zone and do something non-traditional. Everyone deserves to be here. College is a continuous learning process. Take full advantage of the resources and time to explore and learn during these four years.
[more]As a research intern at the Brown Center on Education Policy, I worked on projects focusing on community college access, governance of education policy, teacher diversity, the gender wage gap in teaching, and the impact of the midterm election on education.
