[more]Sonstituent correspondence was my main responsibility, which included answering phone calls for the office, providing assistance to the callers, and organizing mail sent to the office. In fact, ensuring effective correspondence between constituents and representatives provided me with a unique perspective into what it means to be a public servant.
[more]As an intern, I supported prosecutions and investigations by assisting attorneys and paralegals, including serving as a paralegal for a trial that involved corruption in the New York City Police Department.
[more]During my internship, I assisted Economist Caio Piza on research regarding small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in developing countries. Specifically, I spent six weeks researching different countries’ and multilateral organizations’ policies to support SMEs, the amount of funding that each organization provides to SMEs, the goals and objectives of each organization, and the tools used to support such policy goals.
