DARTMOUTH ON PURPOSE CONFERENCE: Live & Lead with Meaning

Sunday, May 5th – Hanover Inn
A FREE one-day conference on meaning, mindfulness and purpose in one’s life.  Some of life’s big questions include: What is my purpose? How do I make meaning of my life? These questions will be addressed in a variety of ways, including through speakers such as Lodro Rinzler, author of The Buddha Walks Into a Bar; alumni “Stories of Purpose” panels; dialogue with faculty, administrators and students; mindful workshops such as quigong guided meditation, intentional journaling and mindful eating; “DOP Talks” (short, TED talk-like presentations) on innovative ways in which we can integrate purpose and meaning into our own lives & into the ways in which we interact and connect with others and our communities.

Conference attendees (open to students, faculty & staff) will:
1. Explore their own internal motivations/purpose & experience a mindful practice during the conference
2. Learn how others find purpose in leading & living their lives
3. Explore how living purposefully can impact larger communities
