Chair of the Rockefeller Board of Visitors Curt Welling D '71, T '77 Joins the Tuck School of Business

This afternoon, Dartmouth's Tuck School of Business announced that former AmeriCares president and CEO Curt Welling D '71, T '77 join Tuck's Center for Global Business & Government and the Center for Business & Society as a senior fellow. Welling assumed the joint appointments on the first of the year following his 11-year tenure at the non-profit global health and disaster organization.

Welling has maintained several ties to Dartmouth, including serving as the Chair of the Rockefeller Center's Board of Visitors. He also facilitates a session on "How We Process and Make Decisions" for the Rockefeller Leadership Fellows.

Welling will join former U.S. Senator Judd Gregg, R-N.H., former Governor John Lynch D-N.H., former White House speechwriter Matthew Rees and former top Treasury Department official Peter Fisher as senior fellows. As a senior fellow, Welling's responsibilities include curriculum development, teaching, facilitating distinguished visitors, coordinating projects for second-year MBA fellows, program development and alumni outreach. He will also develop new courses in the MBA elective curriculum.

Tuck's press release states that, "His center appointments will further expand opportunities for Tuck MBA students and alumni interested in areas such as global health, disaster relief, humanitarian leadership and non-profit strategy and governance."

Matthew Slaughter, faculty director of the Center for Global Business and Government and associate dean of faculty at Tuck, was quoted in Tuck's press release as well:

"We are thrilled to welcome Curt Welling to Tuck. His many accomplishments, both at AmeriCares and earlier in his career in finance, have been broad and long-lasting. Our students will benefit greatly from his experience and insight into leading complex, global organizations."
