Brief Description of the organization:
The Executive Office of the President (EOP) is comprised of eleven Components: The White House Office, Executive Residence, Office of the Vice President, Office of the United States Trade Representative, Office of Science and Technology Policy, Office of the National Drug Control Policy, Office of Management and Budget, Office of Administration, National Security Council, Council on Environmental Quality, and Council of Economic Advisers. Within the EOP, the Office of Administration (OA) assists the other ten Components in fulfilling their missions by providing a myriad of enterprise services ranging from financial management, information technology, human resources management, library & research services, legal services, facility, design & maintenance and security.
Brief Description of Intern's role or key qualifications:
The OA Student Internship Program is available to dedicated and enthusiastic students enrolled in a variety of educational institutions (ranging from community college to law school) and studying a wide range of subjects. OA Interns support the operations of the EOP and gain a perspective of employment within the federal government. Although unpaid, working for EOP/OA compensates for this fact by providing prospective interns an opportunity, unrivaled in its uniqueness, to work in this branch of government. The chance to work and attend events held in and around the White House campus are invaluable experiences and create life-long memories.
