The Urban Institute is a Washington D.C.-based think tank that carries out economic and social policy research to "open minds, shape decisions, and offer solutions".
Brief Description of the Intern's role or key qualifications:
The Center on Nonprofits and Philanthropy will bring on an intern to help advance our research agenda focused on charitable giving, philanthropy, and data. The intern will engage in a variety of research projects looking at trends in giving and work with a team to update the core National Center for Charitable Statistics (NCCS) data files and code. Responsibilities include:
- Provide research assistance to CNP researchers
- Identify, read, and summarize findings from a wide array of field literature
- Contribute to the development of research reports
- Assist with event planning
- Merge and update data files to create the latest version of the NCCS core files
