Hannah Gallen

Hannah Gallen ’19 is from New York City and graduated from the Riverdale Country School where she served as co-president of one of the only student-run 501(c)3 microfinance clubs nation-wide. At Dartmouth, Hannah is pursuing a double major in Social Entrepreneurship and Comparative Literature. On campus, she has been involved with the DEN, Impact Design Group, Women in Business, and Dartmouth Humanitarian Engineering. Outside of Dartmouth, Hannah has worked with organizations such as the MicroLoan Foundation, Grameen America, and Kiva, both abroad (in Malawi and Peru) and domestically. In the Spring of 2017, Hannah worked to help launch SF-based social impact startup Brandless, described as one of the most disruptive companies of 2017 by Forbes and Business Insider. As a 2017-2018 James O. Freedman Presidential Scholar, she pursued research in impact and innovation and, as a DEN Associate, Hannah hopes to mobilize students to engage more meaningfully with social entrepreneurship.
