Kavya Nivarthy

Kavya Nivarthy '25 graduated from Newark Academy in Livingston, New Jersey as an IB Diploma recipient and AP Scholar. At Newark Academy, Kavya was named Best Counsel on the Model Congress SCOTUS team, served as president of Indian Club, where she spearheaded an annual effort delivering hygiene kits to rural communities in India, and captained the varsity cross country team. Kavya worked on a congressional campaign in New Jersey's 11th District, facilitating communications with local elected officials and leading original social media initiatives. She remains involved in local politics by volunteering for the policy non-profit Jersey 1st. At Dartmouth, Kavya organizes discussion and speaker events on campus as a Public Programs Assistant for the Rockefeller Center and ambassador for the Dartmouth Political Union, competes in Model UN, and runs for the Club Running Team. Kavya is studying Economics and Chinese at Dartmouth and plans to attend law school after graduation.
