Claudia Shin '28 is from Los Angeles, CA, and graduated from Granada Hills Charter High School as valedictorian with an International Baccalaureate diploma. As a military kid, service has shaped her passion for policy and civic engagement. In high school, she represented her fellow military dependents to military leadership, advocating for military-connected communities. Passionate about the intersection of arts and policy, Claudia explored these themes through documentary filmmaking, journalism, and Making Music That Matters, a project using music for storytelling and social change. At Dartmouth, she intends to major in Film and Media Studies modified with Economics and minor in Public Policy. She is a Great Issue Scholar and involved in the Dartmouth Film Society, the Dartmouth Minority Pre-Law Association, and The Dartmouth. After graduation, Claudia plans to attend law school and pursue a career in intellectual property or public service.
