Anthony Fosu

First-Year Fellowship: US Department of Education; Mentor: Lauren Kennedy '02

Anthony Fosu ‘24 hails from Keyport, New Jersey, and graduated from Matawan Regional High School as an AP Scholar with Distinction. At Matawan, Anthony served as president of Matawan’s Speech and Debate team and vice-president of the student body. He also led the District’s Student Equity Team, presenting research on equitable practice to faculty and staff across the state of New Jersey. At Dartmouth, He served as a Student Assembly Senator for South House. He helped coordinate the 2021 Black legacy Month celebration with OPAL while also active in the Christian Union and Agape. He also volunteers with the NAACP’s peer-mentorship program and designs for the Apologia Journal. Anthony intends to major in Government with minors in Human-Centered Design and Public Policy at Dartmouth. Motivated by his love for advocacy and passion for equity, Anthony plans to attend law school to pursue a career in education advocacy in the public interest.
