Human Rights Campaign

Harper Kucik '27 graduated from Paul Duke STEM High School in Peachtree Corners, Georgia, earning an AP Capstone Diploma and selection to the Governor's Honors Program. Harper founded her school's literary magazine, served as editor-in-chief, and was selected for multiple competitive writing programs. As a representative on the Principal's Advisory Committee and the county-wide Superintendent's Student Advisory Council, she worked with school administration to allow nonbinary students to have access to gender neutral bathrooms. Her award-winning behavioral research study on improving support for transgender youth's rights in schools provided the evidence she used to influence policy change. At Dartmouth, Harper is pursuing her interest in LGBTQ+ and women's rights through a major in Women's, Gender, & Sexuality Studies with a minor in Public Policy. Outside of class, Harper is a Dartmouth Civics Association Ambassador, the Vice President of Street Soul Dance Troupe, and teaches karate seminars through the Dartmouth Japan Society.
