Samuel (Sam) Starrs

Sam Starrs '26 is from Frederick, Maryland where he graduated from Oakdale High School as Valedictorian. At Oakdale, Sam served twice as Class President, was the Student Government Association's Vice President, and was a three-year Captain of the Varsity Track & Field team, where he won four state championships and set a Maryland state record in the pole vault. Sam was elected to serve on the Frederick County Public Schools Board of Education for the 2021-2022 school year, where he represented the interests of more than 44,000 students as the sole student member. At Dartmouth, Sam competes on the Men's Track & Field team, serves on the North Park Executive Council, and is a Great Issues Scholar with the John Sloan Dickey Center for International Understanding. Sam intends to pursue a major in computer science and a minor in public policy.
