Gov. Kasich to speak in the America’s Economic Future series, hosted by Tuck School of Business & Nelson A. Rockefeller Center. Doors open: 2:30 pm for students, 3:00 pm for public
John Kasich is currently serving his second term as Governor of Ohio, where he worked with his fellow Ohioans to turn an $8 billion shortfall into a $2 billion surplus, cut taxes by $5 billion and made Ohio one of the top job-creating states in the nation.
As chair of the Budget Committee in Congress, he led the effort to balance the federal budget for the first time in a generation and served 18 years on the House Armed Services Committee where he was a strong ally of President Reagan and his national security agenda.
He has also had a successful career as an investment banker, New York Times best-selling author, and as a commentator at FOX News.
The governor is originally from McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, a blue-collar town outside Pittsburgh where his father delivered mail for 30 years. He and his wife Karen have twin teenage daughters.
Governor Kasich is the fourth speaker in the series, America’s Economic Future, featuring presidential primary candidates who will address this timely issue. Co-sponsored by the Tuck School of Business and the Rockefeller Center for Public Policy and the Social Sciences at Dartmouth.
This event is free and open to the public, with limited priority seating to Dartmouth students between 2:30 and 3:00 p.m.
Events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.
