Panelist Bios:
Katie Dutko is the Educ. Prog. Mgr. for Catholic Relief Services’ Iraq program. She is based in Erbil, Iraq and currently oversees education programming in Ninewa, Duhok, Kirkuk, and Anbar Governorates. Prior to her work in Iraq, Katie managed education projects for CRS in Pakistan, and was a CRS Intl. Devel. Fellow in Niger. She has worked in Guatemala as a teacher trainer and a youth leadership programs coordinator, and taught in primary schools in France and the US. Katie has also worked with the French language immersion program of Concordia Language Villages for 16 years. At Dartmouth, Katie was on the Women's Rowing team, worked as a Rassias instructor for French, and was a member of Sigma Delta. She studied abroad in Barcelona and was a member of the Rockefeller Leadership Fellows program.

Josh Stern, a member of the U.S. Foreign Service, currently serves as Senior Political Officer at the U.S. Embassy in the Dominican Republic. Josh previously served as assistant to the Acting Assistant Secretary for Western Hemisphere Affairs.  Earlier tours include Colombia, Sierra Leone, and the U.S. Mission to the United Nations in New York. Josh is a Dartmouth '04 and also received a law degree from Cornell. Prior to entering the Foreign Service, he practiced law in Washington, D.C.  Josh was raised in CT but now calls VA home.  He is joined on his adventures by his wife Julie, an education consultant and author, and their two young sons.

Jordyn Turner is a member of the Class of 2016 with a degree in Asian & Middle-Eastern Studies and Govt. Jordyn was a member of the Varsity Women’s Basketball team, Pres. of the Panhellenic Council and the Subtleties acapella group, and was a Rocky Leadership Fellow, Voxmasters co-lead, and student programs assistant. She travelled extensively during her time at Dartmouth, studying Portuguese and Mandarin in Brazil and China, and volunteering at a non-profit youth education program in South Africa. After graduation, Jordyn moved to Beijing as a member of the inaugural class of Schwarzman Scholars, earning a Master’s in Global Affairs. She joined the Washington, D.C. office of Bain & Co., and has been with Bain for the last 3 years. Since January, Jordyn has been working at the UN World Food Programme as part of Bain’s externship program. She is an MBA candidate in Harvard Business School’s class of 2022.

Yi Yang is a Dartmouth ’14, and second-year Master in Public Administration in International Development candidate and Pub. Service Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School. She has 6 years of work experience in the private sector and int. devel. building foundations for inclusive growth. Yi began her career in investment strategy, advising for hedge fund investors and Fortune 500 companies. She was a Peace Corps community econ. devel. volunteer in Senegal providing capacity-building for young entrepreneurs, women’s groups, and farmers, and overseeing visits from the U.S Peace Corps director and U.S. Ambassador. Yi joined the World Bank in Mozambique to support national programs in entrepreneurship and rural infrastructure development. Yi is working with the Chief Economist at the Centre for Disaster Protection (UK) to advance evidence-building for a more equitable and timely disaster response. At Dartmouth, Yi was an Economics major and involved in Dartmouth Humanitarian Engineering.
