This summer, I interned at the Department of Energy. Specifically, I worked in NE-6, a sub-office within the Office of Nuclear Energy which deals with international nuclear energy policy and cooperation. My most significant takeaway came from the dialogue that this opportunity created.

As a Class of 2020 First-Year Fellow Eliza Jane Schaeffer ’20 interned at the U.S. Department of Education under the mentorship of Lauren Kennedy ’02. During her internship, Eliza Jane helped her mentor complete various tasks, such as creating a seven-year calendar of grant competitions.

As a Class of 2020 First-Year Fellow, Sunny Drescher '20 interned at the District of Columbia Superior Court under the mentorship of Jennifer Chandler ’82. Sunny’s responsibilities over the summer focused on collecting information about the Domestic Violence Unit at the Superior Court and other Domestic Violence Units across the country.
