[more]February marks the observance of Black History Month. However, the discussion on race does not begin or end with this month. Issues of race are pervasive and have significant effects on the lives of people of color in this country that span well beyond the parameters of 28 days.
[more]On Thursday, February 18, 2016, the Rockefeller Center hosted “Inspiring Stories from Women in Leadership” moderated by the 2015-2016 Perkins Bass Distinguished Visitor, Terie Norelli. The public program was followed by a student dinner with the panelists.
[more]MLDP participants added another tool to their leadership toolkit with a session on problem solving through negotiation by Professor John Garvey from the Daniel Webster Scholar Honors Program.
[more]Keynote speaker Caitlin Barthelmes, director of the Dartmouth Student Wellness Center, shared her experience about how peer health educators at UVA helped her find her path and lay the foundation for her career in wellness. She noted that D-LAB offers participants a chance to find their path.
