Dartmouth Model United Nations (DartMUN)

Interested in Global Affairs? Looking to make a difference?  We may be the perfect fit for you!  Dartmouth’s Model United Nations Team is a dedicated group of students who engage with topics in international relations by traveling to collegiate conferences and hosting our own DartMUN conference for high school students each spring. We are always looking for new members to join the team, regardless of prior experience!  For more information, please reach out to

Model UN is a world-renowned program in which students role-play delegates representing member states of the United Nations.  This is done through a simulation of UN committees and agencies.  While participating in Model UN, students gain a multitude of skills that are not often practiced in the traditional classroom setting-public speaking, negotiation, team work and advanced critical thinking skills.

As a Dartmouth student, volunteer your time and passion to host our annual conference.  Now in its fifteenth year,  DartMUN invites 500 high school students from around the world to our campus, for three days of invigorating debate.  DartMUN gives you the opportunity to advance today's issues.

Don’t let the high school students have all the fun!!  Join us while we travel to Montreal for four days of enriching debate and problem-solving with McGill University’s McMUN.  Get ready to be Challenged, Innovative and Empowered!

All of our secretariat find participating in the conference an amazing experience.  The intensity of being in a lead role for the conference is addictive and will push you far outside your comfort zone!
